Reinigungswoche

More than 100 play- and experiment stations arouse curiosity about mathematics. This not always popular science thus becomes a source of playful enjoyment for young and old. Walk-in musical instruments, a climb-on sculpture, and a huge soap bubble entice the participants to immerse themselves in the dimensions of mathematical formulae and their aesthetics. Puzzles and knotty problems encourage a search for mathematical proofs, while drawing ornaments and visiting an archaeological site make the participants aware of the mathematical foundation of culture and science. In “Epsilon – adventure playground for the young” children aged 3 to 8 can discover their own mathematical world of numbers, shapes and patterns. In collaboration with the mathematics faculty at the Technische Universität Dresden. www.erlebnisland-mathematik.de
