Scientific Traineeship

The museums of the city of Dresden offer two scientific traineeships. The training alternates between the City Museum, the Municipal Gallery and the Technical Collections. A university degree is required to apply for a traineeship at the museums of the City of Dresden. Vacancies are published in the city's applicant portal.

Federal Voluntary Service

The Museums of the City of Dresden are looking for interested volunteers who would like to work as part of a federal voluntary service programme subject to social insurance contributions. Positions are available in the areas of Collections & Documentation, Education & Mediation and in the Adventure Land Maths.

Study-related internships

Students can complete an internship during their studies at the City Museum, the Municipal Gallery and the Technical Collections. The duration of the internship depends on the respective training and examination regulations and is not remunerated.

Foreign applicants must have a fluent command of written and spoken German. Please send applications to the directors of the museums or directly to the heads of the institutions or departments.
